Furniture

Work from the woodshop.

Wooden bar cart with angular legs and two striped shelves, holding bottles, a book, and brass cups

I was lucky to grow up around tools, with parents who gave me room to experiment. I’ve been making things ever since. A lot of that happens on a computer these days, so it’s nice to step away and work with my hands. Here’s a little of what I’ve been working on in the woodshop.

Ash coffee table with a drawer, an open shelf, and angled legs, on a patterned rug in front of a sofa

Corner of a walnut box with a copper-colored inlay at the joint, on a workbench with a chisel and wood shavings

Sapele record bench with a recessed top, a small inset tray, and slim legs, photographed outdoors on fallen leaves

Close-up of a walnut bedside table’s faceted drawer front and cutout pull, with the drawer partly open to show a red wood interior

Walnut and padauk Bluetooth speaker with two round drivers set into its front
